The short version
Simple Homeal does not sell your information, and does not share it with anyone else — not your allergies, not your health notes, not your address, not anything else you tell us.
What you share is used for one thing only: planning and cooking your food, and replying to you. It is never sold, rented, traded, or handed to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else who might want it.
What we collect
Only what the service needs, and only what you give us:
- When you get in touch. Your name and email, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number, what you are interested in, how often you are thinking of, how many people you are feeding, and anything you write in the message box.
- If you become a client. Your name, email, and a password you choose, which is stored scrambled so nobody can read it — not even us.
- Your household profile. How many people Chef Alfaro is cooking for, which days suit you, the address where she cooks, and your phone number.
- Food, allergy, and health details. Allergies and restrictions, foods you would rather not eat, and any health notes you add. This is the most sensitive thing you will give us, and it exists for one reason: so Chef Alfaro can cook for you safely.
- Your weekly choices. The recipes you pick, any recipe of your own you share, notes you leave for the week, and the shopping lists prepared for you.
What it is used for
Planning your menus, writing your shopping lists, cooking safely around your allergies and health needs, and emailing you about your own weeks — a reminder when your recipes are due, your shopping list, and a reply when you get in touch. That is the whole list. We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not build a profile of you for anyone else.
Who can see it
Chef Marisol Alfaro and the person who maintains this site. Nobody else. Other clients cannot see your details, your allergies, or your weeks.
Two companies help run the service and handle your information only to deliver it on our behalf: the company that hosts the site and its database, and the company that sends our email. They are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes, and we do not give them anything beyond what is needed to host the site and deliver a message to you.
We would only ever hand over information if the law required it. If that happened, we would tell you unless we were legally forbidden from doing so.
Cookies
One cookie, and only once you log in. It keeps you signed in and nothing else. There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, and no tracker following you to other sites.
How long it is kept
For as long as you are a client, so your allergies and preferences carry over week to week rather than being asked again. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your profile, your health notes, and your weeks. Inquiries from people who never became clients are cleared out once they are no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, or have it deleted. You can edit your own profile, allergies, and health notes yourself at any time from your profile page. Just ask and we will do it — there is no form to fill in and no wait.
